Who we are

medellincosmeticsurgery.com is operated by Scout Theory LLC. You can reach us at andy@colombiamedical.co with any question about this policy or about data we hold on you.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact form we collect your name, email address, and any optional details you choose to provide: WhatsApp number, procedure of interest, rough timing, the city you are travelling from, and your message. When you contact us on WhatsApp we receive whatever your WhatsApp profile exposes, plus the content of your messages.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It collects pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring source, and interactions such as clicking a WhatsApp link. We have not enabled Google Analytics advertising features.

Health information

Please do not send us detailed medical history, diagnoses, images of your body, or other sensitive health information. We are not a healthcare provider, we are not a HIPAA covered entity, and our systems are not designed to hold that category of data. Anything of that nature belongs in a consultation with a licensed physician, not in a message to us. If you do send it, we will delete it.

How we use it

• To answer your question and continue the conversation you started
• Where you have asked us to, to introduce you to a healthcare practice — we share only what is necessary for that introduction, and only with your knowledge
• To understand aggregate site usage and improve what we publish

We do not sell your personal information. We do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask to join. We do not share your details with practices you have not agreed to be introduced to.

Who processes data for us

Form submissions are processed through Google Workspace services. Analytics is provided by Google. Messaging runs through WhatsApp, operated by Meta. Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy terms, and data may be processed in the United States and elsewhere.

Referral relationships

We may receive a referral fee when someone we have introduced proceeds to treatment. This does not add anything to what you pay, and it does not give any practice influence over what we publish. We are telling you because you should know it when you weigh our recommendations.

How long we keep it

Contact enquiries are retained for up to twenty-four months so we can pick up an earlier conversation, then deleted. Analytics data follows Google's retention settings. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent. Colombian residents have rights under Ley 1581 de 2012. Email andy@colombiamedical.co and we will action any of these within thirty days at no charge.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies only. There are no advertising or remarketing cookies on this site. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out browser add-on; the site works normally either way.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under eighteen and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has contacted us, write to us and we will delete the record.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
